“WITH THE MANTRA OF ‘SABKA SAATH, SABKA PRAYAS’, INDIA HAS ACHIEVED 75% OF ITS ADULT POPULATION WITH BOTH DOSES OF THE VACCINE.”- MoHFW
On Sunday, Union Health minister Mansukh Mandiaviya announced that 75% of the adult population has been fully jabbed against COVID19. In his tweet, he expressed his gratitude towards the Prime Minister by saying, “With the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Prayas’, India has achieved the target of 75% of its adult population being administered both doses of the vaccine. We are getting stronger in the fight against the coronavirus. We have to follow all the rules and get the vaccine as soon as possible.”
The lurking fear of Omicron and other variants of COVID19 is the reason behind the motivation towards getting jabbed against this virus amongst the public. Along with that, the relentless efforts by frontline workers have made this achievement possible.
The upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Manipur and Uttarakhand are being speculated as ‘super spreader event.’ Therefore increasing the number of fully vaccinated population in advance may help to avert the disaster the country witnessed during the second wave.
Prime Minister Modi also took on his tweeter to congratulate the country as 75% of the adult population completes its two doses of COVID19 vaccines. In his tweet, he said, “75% of all adults are fully vaccinated. Congratulations to our fellow citizens for this momentous feat. Proud of all those who are making our vaccination drive a success.”
Earlier this year, the government gave a green flag to vaccinated children between the age group of 15 to 18 years. Along with this, a third-‘precautionary dose’ and boosters were approved by the government.
The country recorded 2,34,281 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours pushing the active caseload 18,84,937.
