Delhi’s AQI moves to the “very poor” category

The System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) said that the air quality in Delhi on Monday has deteriorated to the “very poor” category

The overall AQI on Monday is recorded at 302 which clearly states that the capital’s air quality is very poor.

According to official data, an AQI of zero to 50 is regarded good, 51 to 100 is considered satisfactory, 101 to 200 is considered moderate, 201 to 300 is considered poor, 301 to 400 is considered very poor and 401 to 500 is deemed severe.

SAFAR advised those in sensitive categories to avoid any outdoor physical activity and transfer activities indoors in its daily message. If you have asthma, SAFAR recommends keeping relief drugs available.

People should also avoid extended or strenuous activity, according to the alert. Instead of jogging, one should take a little walk and stop more often. If one is having an odd cough, chest discomfort, wheezing, breathing problems, or exhaustion, one should stop doing whatever they are doing and take a rest.
