More students leave Ukraine to enter Poland, even as Indian Embassy of Ukraine advises Indian to leave Kyiv urgently
The ninth #OperationGanaga flight with 218 nationals has left Romania to land at New Delhi later.
The sixth evacuation flight from Hungary’s capital Budapest carrying 240 Indian nationals who were stranded in Ukraine landed at the Delhi airport Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi welcomed the Indian nationals at the airport.

A special flight carrying Indian students stranded in Ukraine arrived at Delhi Airport. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said, “every student is being brought back, PM Modi is himself monitoring the situation and we have sent teams to neighbouring nations of Ukraine. MEA has also made a control room regarding the ongoing situation.”
Home Minister Rajnath Sigh today declared that all Indians stranded in Ukraine will be brought back to India at government expense.
#OperationGanga is underway. The fourth flight has left from Bucharest (Romania) to bring 198 Indian nationals to Delhi safely: EAM Dr S Jaishankar.
Earlier the second flight from the Romanian capital, ferrying evacuees from Ukraine, landed at Mumbai in the early hours of Sunday.
Yesterday, Air India flight AIC1944 carrying over 200 Indian evacuees from Ukraine landed at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. This was the first flight from Romania to India after the Russia-Ukraine crisis escalated into a full-blown invasion. It was earlier scheduled to land in Mumbai at 4 pm.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal greeted them at the airport.
EAM Dr. S. Jaishankar is personally monitoring the evacuation.
Union Minister Piyush Goel was present at the airport to receive the Indian National arriving from Ukraine via Romania.
Mumbai received the students with open arms. Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar said that Mumbai will provide free Covid testing, vaccines, food and all other facilities to all evacuees.
