Pak opposition plans marches against Imran Khan govt on Feb 27, March 23

Pakistan’s opposition parties have joined together to plan large-scale protests against Prime Minister Imran Khan’s administration later this month and on March 23.

On Saturday, the Pakistan Peoples Party and the Pakistan Muslim League (N) declared that on February 27, they will lead a long march against the PTI administration from Karachi to Islamabad.

Meanwhile, on March 23, the PDM has planned to stage a massive march against increasing inflation (Pakistan Day). Both parties have decided to employ all legal, constitutional, and political measures available to them in order to destabilise the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administration.

“If we want to save this country from destruction, then we will have to get rid of this government,” Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif said while addressing a press conference

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz, and other Opposition leaders spoke at a news conference with Shahbaz.

While intimidating the Prime Minister with a major march on February 27, the PPP leader had previously stated that he would go to the people and tell them that it is critical for the country to get rid of PM Imran and that he should not remain in parliament because he has lost the people’s trust.
