Australia’s cricket team have arrived in Pakistan to start their first tour of the country in nearly a quarter of a century. “They have landed,” the official said of the team, who haven’t visited since 1998 because of security concerns.
Senior batsman Steve Smith tweeted a picture of the 35-strong Australia tour party inside their charter flight’s cabin after it touched down in Islamabad. They will spend their six-week stay in a high-security bubble.
Australia & Pakistan will play 3 Tests, 3 ODIs and 1 T-20.
