On Thursday, Madhya Pradesh (MP) Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang announced that Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) will be offered in the Hindi language as well.
During a press conference, Sarang announced that Gandhi Medical College will start offering MBBS courses in the Hindi language from this April. “MBBS will be taught in Hindi medium. Bhopal’s Gandhi Medical College to start offering MBBS course in Hindi from April,” he said.
Further supporting this decision by the MP government, he said, “various researches have also shown that learning in mother tongue is beneficial and has better results.”
MP is a Hindi dominated state and recently during his Independence Day speech, PM urged to focus more on making education available in their mother tongue so throughout the country on all levels.
