During his three day trip to France, Indian External Affairs Minister (EAM) S.Jaishankar held a meeting with Indian Ambassadors to European Union (EU) in Paris. In the meeting, EAM appreciated EU countries and their efforts and commitment towards the Indian diaspora in Europe during COVID19.
In his tweet, he mentioned that the meeting focused on comprehensive discussions on Indian foreign policy.
During his visit, EAM also met his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian and covered a range of bilateral and global issues including the situation in Afghanistan and the Ukraine crisis.
”Through the tumult of our times, India’s relations with France have continued to move forward on a steady and clear course. it is a relationship that has been free from sudden shifts and surprises that we sometimes see in other cases,” said EAM during his address at the French Institute of International Relations on the theme of ‘How India sees France.’
Jaishankar also met French President Emmanuel Macron and informed that both the countries are looking forward to strengthening their relationship through cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
