Andrea Belotti was Torino’s derby hero, scoring the equaliser in a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Juventus on Friday, giving Atalanta the edge in the Champions League race.
Injury-plagued Belotti scored Torino’s equaliser in the 62nd minute of his first start since late November, securing a well-deserved point for Ivan Juric’s team at the Allianz Stadium.
Juventus, who took the lead through Matthijs de Ligt in the 13th minute, might drop out of the top four if Atalanta wins at Fiorentina on Sunday afternoon.
Atalanta sits three points behind fourth-placed Massimiliano Allegri’s side, but they have a stronger head-to-head record and goal difference, as well as a game in hand.
