Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal has been charged with violation fo the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) by the Election commission. AAP leader, Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM have already been charged with violation earlier.
A day before Punjab elections, a police case has been filed against Arvind Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party for a video, which the poll body says makes “false and frivolous allegations against other parties” and violates the model code of conduct in Punjab. The state’s chief electoral officer on Saturday directed the District Election Officer-cum-District Commissioner of Mohali and the SSP to register an FIR.
“It is submitted that Model Code of Conduct has been enforced in the State of Punjab. In the light of MCC no party can put any objectionable videos targeting particular leader of any prevalent handles on internet,” said the chief electoral officer in Punjab.
Apart from AAP, CM Channi has also charged with violation of the code.
