Actor-producer Farhan Akhtar is all set to marry his longtime girlfriend, VJ and influencer Shibani Dandekar in Khandala today. This close knitted ceremony will not include any Marathi style rituals or nikah ceremonies. Rather both bride and groom have prepared their own vows to exchange in the blessing of close friends and family.
According to a family friend, “Those who know Farhan and Shibani can vouch for the fact that they both have put their love for each other above their last names. It would have been a cliche for them to do a nikah and a Hindu wedding. But what they have planned instead is truly beautiful.” (Reported by India Today)
The couple has invited 50 close friends for the marriage ceremony including names like- Meiyang Chang, Gaurav Kapur, Samir Kochhar, Monica Dogra, Ritesh Sidwani and Rhea Chakraborty, etc. The guest list also includes Shah Rukh Khan and Hritik Roshan.
Rhea was spotted in a public event for the first time after Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. At that time Shibani was one of the few celebrities who came out in support of Rhea openly. Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty is also invited to this event.
The pre-wedding ceremony of Dandekar and Akhtar started on February 17th only. This is going to be Akhtar’s second marriage after divorcing his ex-wife Adhuna Bhabani. Dandekar was dating actor Karna Kundra before she decided to tie the knot with Akhtar.
