Super Bowl 56: Los Angeles Rams beat Cincinnati Bengals in a dramatic finale

On Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams won Super Bowl 56 in front of their home crowd,  defeating the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 to clinch the NFL title game at the So-Fi stadium in California.

In Super Bowl 56, the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 with a late score.

The Bengals appeared to be on their way to winning their first Super Bowl, only two years after finishing worst in the NFL.

When it counted most, the Rams’ star-studded squad delivered, with quarterback  Matthew Stafford guiding a game-winning 15-play drive.

Cooper Kupp scored his second touchdown of the game with 1:25 left to give the  Rams their second NFL championship.

Kupp was subsequently named the game’s Most Valuable Player, adding to his  previous honour for Offensive Player of the Year.

The Rams became only the second team to win a Super Bowl at their home stadium, following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who did so last year.

Scorecard

Cincinnati bengals 20 – 23 Los Angeles Rams (13-8) (16-5)
