Liverpool beat Burnley at Turf Moor in a very closely contested match to stay in the title race. With Liverpool stars Salah and Mane returning from AFCON Jurgen Kloop would have expected an easy outing for his Liverpool side in Lancashire.
Both teams were very well organised and in a game where both defences were on top Sean Dyche would be disappointed his Burnley couldn’t fire past Allison in the Liverpool goal to win a point. A 40th minute Fabinho strike proved to be enough for Liverpool to edge past Burnley and claim all 3 points .
Liverpool remain second in the league table 9 points behind current champions Man City with a game in hand, Burnley however face a serious threat of relegation placed at the bottom of the league table with just 14 points from their first 21 games .
