Arun Srivastava a 60 year man was pulled out alive from under the rubble of his flat at Chintel’s Paradiso following a rescue operation that lasted over 16 hours.
2 people have been declared dead after the roof of the sixth floor came crashing down to the first floor at in Gurgaon’s Sector 109’s Chintels Paradiso housing complex yesterday.
An FIR has been registered against the builder of Chintels Paradiso in Gurgaon Sector 109 following a complaint by the husband of Ekta Bhardwaj, who died in the incident.
The incident occurred after the roof of a residential high-rise in Gurgaon’s Sector 109 collapsed on Thursday night. The living room in an apartment of the 18-floors Chintels Paradiso housing complex first came down, triggering the collapse of roofs and floors directly under it. The incident took place on the sixth floor of the building where some construction work was going on.
Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar tweeted that he is personally monitoring the rescue operation, adding that teams from State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been roped in.
“A drawing room on the sixth collapsed till the first floor,” Kaushal Kumar, a resident of the building, told ANI, adding the incident happened in “Tower D” of the high-rise.
