It is a vision for India @ 100: FM on Budget

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while replying to question on the Budget in the upper house today said, that the next 25 years are going to be important for India.

On February 10, the Lok Sabha witnessed a showdown after Congress and other Opposition parties staged a walkout during her reply to MPs questions on the Budget she presented on February 1.

She also defended the move to bring in new technology such as drones in Agriculture.

“By bringing in drones, we are able to bring in efficiencies in the use of fertilisers, pesticides & also make a good technology-driven assessment of the crop density & also possibly predicting the size of the output” she said.

Lauding PM Gati shakti she said, “Guidance which comes from PM Gati Shakti was essentially as we needed to bring in greater synergy, greater complementarity between various infrastructure spending that we’re undertaking because it’s not to say that infrastructure spending never happened in this country.”

“We went in for a budget which would stand for continuity, which will be bringing in stability to the economy and predictability in taxation and also a vision for India at 100” Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman further stated in Rajya Sabha.
