Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP), declared war on Imran Khan’s “chosen government” on Wednesday, challenging him to dissolve the assembly before the long march on February 27.
According to Geo News, Bilawal told a party conference in Multan that the PPP exposed the PTI-led government on the first day of its tenure and has been fighting it since since.
He stated that his party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) has decided to begin the long march from Karachi on February 27.
According to Geo News, the PPP chairman stated that the march will be successful because “Imran has already lost the first round of local body elections.”
Bilawal took a swipe at the prime minister and said, “Imran Niazi is running away after disqualifying his candidate (Faisal Vawda) to contest in the next elections.” If the Prime Minister has the courage, he should dissolve the National Assembly before the march,” he continued.
“Some people who were opposed to the no-confidence motion are now backing us,” Bilawal said, adding that the party will push for the no-confidence vote to remove Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government. He claimed that the country wants to get rid of the “selected” government, and that the only way to do so is through a fair election.
