India to look to seal series against W Indies

After a comfortable win, India face the West Indies in the second ODI at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. The 1st match marked the beginning of Rohit Sharma’s tenure as full-time white-ball captain.

The ‘Men in Blue’ beat the Windies comfortably by 6 wickets to go 1-0 up in the three-match series. Chasing a target of 177 runs, India reached 178 for four with 22 overs to spare. Rohit hit a quick 60 runs off 51 balls, while Yuzvendra Chahal who is in fantastic form, bagging a four-wickets to help India bowl out the West Indies for 176 in 43.5 overs.

The hosts will be aiming to winning the 2nd ODI to seal the 3-match series.

The focus will also be on vice-captain KL Rahul’s batting position as he returns from a break. Rahul was seen training on Monday. The vice-captain missed the first fixture due to personal reasons. He will be hoping to put in a good performance today.
