In the last 24 hours, India has reported 83,876 new Covid cases, with 895 deaths. The country’s recovery rate is currently at 96.19 per cent. The third wave’s unprecedented overall increase has now been followed by a record drop. Cases fell by a record 45 per cent in the second week of dropping infections, more than tripling the decrease in the rate from 19 per cent the week before.
On Monday, the Health Ministry released updated data which shows a significant reduction in the number of Covid-19 cases reported in the country. The number of daily cases in India has fallen below 1 lakh.
