At the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua, India defeated England by four wickets in Saturday’s ICC U19 World Cup final.
The ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup final in Antigua on Saturday was won by India by four wickets against England. Egland won the toss and chose to bat with 195 runs for six, India beat a target of 190 runs in 47.4 overs to win a record-extending fifth U-19 title. Sindhu’s match-winning innings of 50 run off 54 balls helped India edge past their opponents. Shaikh Rasheed also contributed to India’s win by scoring 50 runs off 84 balls. India seemed in control of the game from the very beginning as England could only manage 189 runs in 44.5 overs and had a major batting collapse. James Rew smashed stood out with a 95-run knock-off on 116 balls to give his side some breathing space and After scoring 34 runs off 65 balls, Sales stayed undefeated. Raj Bawa was in outstanding form for India, taking five wickets. Meanwhile, Ravi Kumar collected four wickets and Kaushal Tambe took one as well.
