Jan Chaupal – PM Modi’s First Virtual Rally

Jan Chaupal’ was Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first virtual rally in UP ahead of the Assembly elections in the state

The rally was broadcasted in 98 manuals across 21 assembly seats in five districts in western Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Aditya Nath joined him along with deputy cm Dinesh Yadav for this e-rally which was broadcasted on LED screens placed in various parts of these 5 districts. the BJP aimed to reach 1 million people in 21 assembly seats and around 49,000 were connected directly to this rally.

The five districts included Shamli, Baghpath, Muzzaffarnagar, Saharanpur and Gautam Buddh Nagar.

The BJP is also pushing for offline rallies but is yet to receive a green signal from the election commission. The election commission had earlier banned physical rallies in light of the Omicron variant of Covid-19.

In western UP BJP is in direct fight with Samajwadi Party-Rashtriya Lok Dal (SP-RLD) alliance and have launched a door to door campaign.
